Even in times of economic slowdown you can rely on shopping as a tried and tested way to enjoy yourself - even if you are not spending quite as much as you used to.
Reading's shopping really is a treat: from quirky little sweet shops to high end jewellers, we have a range of independent stores sitting alongside the major high street brands. Our two big shopping centres - The Oracle and Broad Street Mall - are a natural starting point for any expedition. The Mall is home to TK Maxx, and features a strong line up of high street names, including famous bargain outlets like The Pound Shop, The 99p Shop, The Works and Argos.
The Oracle will appeal to anyone looking for high fashion and spectacular gifts (from Hollister to Hotel Chocolat). The Oracle also has an unrivalled choice of eateries - covering the globe from Wagamama to Cote.
And getting to Reading is easy - whether you want the convenience of driving (lots of good quality parking, or use our park and ride services) or the ease of public transport. Most of our shopping areas are pedestrianised, and pavement cafes abound - so you can relax and watch the world go by as you take a break from bargain hunting.
