Two of the UK's most popular visitor attractions are in easy reach of Reading. 

Windsor Castle and all the charms of Windsor and next door neighbour Eton are a 20-minute drive away (or an easy train journey via Slough). Legoland is about the same distance by car or take a shuttle-bus from Windsor.

Windsor is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and Official Residence of Her Majesty The Queen. The Castle covers an area of about 5 hectares (13 acres) and contains magnificent State Apartments furnished with treasures from the Royal Collection, St George's Chapel (burial place of 10 monarchs), and Queen Mary's Dolls House, a masterpiece in miniature. As Windsor Castle is a working royal palace, opening arrangements may change at short notice.
