Greater Reading is covered by five local authority areas (Reading Borough Council, Wokingham Borough Council, West Berkshire District Council, South Oxon District Council and North Hampshire).
While Reading Borough Council covers all of the central areas, many major suburbs and trading areas are within the boundaries of Wokingham Borough Council and West Berkshire Council.
