Small Business Networking

Business Biscotti is a relatively new networking organisation.  The philosophy is to give something back to the business community. The organisation consists of physical groups which are free to attend, flexible in their approach to networking, and without membership commitment, and a rapidly growing web site community, which is also FREE to join.

Although Business Biscotti has been running for 3 years as a small group which met in Daisy's coffee shop in The Herb Garden in Sonning Common, a decision to expand was taken early this year to expand through-out the Thames Valley.

There are now 16 live groups and 12 in the process of opening in September.

Business Biscotti is unlike any other networking group. Monthly meetings are simple drop ins at venues such as coffee shops, hotels and garden centres. No booking is needed and no speeches made.

There is no cost other than buying your own tea or coffee. And some venues including Bel & the Dragon restaurant which hosts the Reading Central group, even lay that on.

Each group has two ambassadors who act as contacts and make all the necessary arrangements.

One of the founders Sue Reeves (from SuePix Photography) said: “There has been incredible interest in starting up groups since we expanded in April and I have been amazed how quickly we have managed to get the support from venues.

However, it is not just about the monthly meetings. The website is is a great resource which everyone can make use of. Members have already posted lots of useful and interesting articles.”
