Time to unwind

One of the many things Reading does well is nightlife...

There is a choice of fine dining in the town centre. Stylish All Bar One.JPGrestaurants have appeared alongside the usual spread of clubs and bars you'd expect to find in a town our size.

Importantly, we've managed to attract a growing list of quality independent restaurants, family friendly venues and some great nightspots with their own unique appeal - from Zero Degrees with its on-site micro brewery, producing some surprising flavours in beer, to the relaxed and homely charms of Oakwood Social Club, to atmospheric venues like Sakura and the long-standing favourite The Purple Turtle.

Variety of cuisine is another hallmark of Reading dining.  From authentic Italian independents like Nino's, Dolce Vita and Pepe Sale to tapas bars, sushi bars, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, French... and some good traditional pub food, not to mention the best selection of pies anywhere at Sweeney and Todds.

And you want more? - we've got it.  Two casinos, two multi-screen cinemas, jazz clubs, a film theatre, open air Shakespeare, Sunday band concerts, local band nights, gigs at Rivermead, and a different festival to celebrate almost every month.
